A cult movie if there ever was one. It certainly stays with you. I’ve read up on some cast’s back stories and unsurprisingly they are not very pleasant.
This film may be a good watch for those anticipating the next season of American Horror Story as a primer of sorts.

I’d been wanting to see this for a while so I’m glad I caught it last night. TCM is having Pre-Code Fridays! Good times.
Anyway, this is a great film — captivating, terrifying, great makeup and effects, wonderfully acted.

I love this one. Great cast, great songs, lots of laughs, but packs a punch at the end.

Yay, I finally finished another category! Shame it was a Waste. Of. Time. I should’ve gone with my gut. I didn’t want to see it; the trailers looked incredibly meh. Yet I let the hype about how great it was get to me, so I gave in. Plus I was curious how Sid would do. The answer: poorly. His “tough guy” act was pretty lousy. I’m 0 for 2 with him now. Anyway, overall the film was weak.

And Littlefoot knew for certain that he was alone.

I’ve watched this so many times and it’s still one of the saddest…

12 Angry Men (1957)

Director: Sidney Lumet

DP: Boris Kaufman

"I shot the first third of the movie above eye level, shot the second third at eye level and the last third from below eye level. In that way, toward the end the ceiling began to appear. Not only were the walls closing in, the ceiling was as well. The sense of increasing claustrophobia did a lot to raise the tension of the last part of the movie." In the film’s last shot, Lumet observes, he used a wide-angle lens "to let us finally breathe."
